In the real world, Stress Level Zero is an American game studio located in Los Angeles, California with a focus on virtual reality. They are responsible for several prominent VR titles, most notably BONEWORKS.

Stress Level Zero was founded in 2014 as an indie studio by Brandon Laatsch and Alex Knoll, both from a background of film and VFX. Laatsch, a successful YouTuber who co-ran the Node channel for a few years, had grown bored with the medium of traditional storytelling and saw VR as an exciting new area of
New Offices[]
Nearing the end of 2015, Stress Level Zero moved to a new office in 2458 Hunter Street, Los Angeles. The 2000 square-foot site underwent extensive renovation until mid 2016, which was documented in a series of videos uploaded to Laatsch's YouTube channel BrandonJLA. The new office building was over a hundred years old[1], and many strange relics were found in the walls, such as a floppy disk of Adobe Premiere, half-drunk Tequila, and incense burners. Partway through renovation, SLZ acquired the cojoining studio, which added another 4000 square feet of space. Renovation was completed in May 2016.
